Guardian Ilavenil
ThīFire
“The breath that stills the flame.”
The first and fiercest power. To master fire is to turn destruction into divine purpose, force tempered into balance.
The ocean buried a civilization.
It could not bury its destiny.
A cinematic action-adventure rooted in Tamil mythology · Unreal Engine 5
When the pillar of the sun is swallowed in silence, the Child of Balance shall be born. Marked by fire, guarded by wind, blessed by the roar of the ancient one.
Long before history, seven elemental kingdoms held the world in perfect balance, the Circle. Then the kings chose pride and sovereignty over unity, and the ocean swallowed the continent whole.
“When balance was a circle,
they fractured it into a crown.”
Each element is not a weapon but a trial, grief, endurance, letting go, surrender. Carry them not as tools, but as truths.
Drag to journey through the realms →
Realm names in Tamil are being finalised with the project's historians, faithful to Sangam tradition. Each realm is a trial, not a weapon, and the Circle is whole only when all seven are held in balance.
“If you burn only to lead, you shall turn to ash.
If you burn to bind, the circle may return.”
Between force and restraint lies the narrow way. Every choice tips the balance, and the world, and its ending, respond.

Born under an eclipse that comes once in ten thousand years, marked on his chest by a roaring lion entwined with a serpent, the Mark of Fire. As he masters each element, the Mark becomes a full circle of seven colours. He alone can reforge the Circle… or end it.
The game is adapted from the novel The Forgotten Kingdom of Kumari Kandam by Prasannakumar K, a complete, franchise-scale saga steeped in Sangam literature.
The Solar Child is born under the eclipse and blessed by the Yaazi. The Fire King sends his commander to kill him, and a boy of seven defeats him without violence.
Ilavenil descends into the Kizhvaḷi and the chamber of seven thrones, then walks the Circle, mastering grief, endurance, letting go and surrender across seven realms.
Bearing all seven elements, Ilavenil calls the fractured Kings, reunites the Circle, and stands against the Velichcham Sect and the Maranam for the soul of a reborn world.
Volume 1 is the beginning. Volume 2, The Rising Shadow of the Seven Flames, already awaits.
Seven souls, each bound to an element, awaken to stand with Ilavenil. Trace the Circle.
Each bound to an element, awakening to stand with Ilavenil.
The Solar Child; the flame that must bind, not burn.
Fluid grace; strength in the sea's calm depths.
Steady as the banyan; endurance through humility.
The wind's breath; the calm within the storm.
The cycle of renewal; life sustained through change.
Tempered steel; power that endures rather than ignites.
Spirit and cosmic balance; awareness at the centre.
Once unified sovereigns, sundered by pride, now to be reunited, not defeated.

Counters, parries and Guardian duels rooted in real Tamil martial arts.

Ride the Yaazi, wall-run ruins, grapple chasms, dive drowned temples.

Grief, endurance, surrender, each realm a spiritual trial, not just a fight.

Confront each sovereign, colossal, corrupted, and mournfully human.

Scales black as obsidian, eyes like twin suns, the Yaazi rose from the sea to bless Ilavenil at his birth. Its design is reconstructed from ancient Tamil descriptions, temple inscriptions and the Tolkāppiyam, with historians. Its true origin remains a mystery, guarded for the tale ahead.
Combat built on Adimurai, Kalaripayattu, Silambam & Valari, motion-captured from practitioners who carry the true lineage.
By Tamil tradition, the Pallava prince Bodhidharma carried these arts east in the 6th century, a lineage later remembered in the Shaolin tradition. We tell that story from its Tamil source, with our historians.
Breath-control, the Siddhar sages, and weapons of Tamil Nadu & Kerala, verified with the historians on the team.
Scored in the tradition of G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematic orchestra fused with Tamil classical instrumentation.
Reviving an ancient Tamil harp so rare only a handful can still play it, the literal voice of the lost kingdom.
Classical Tamil verse as in-world chant, voice cast selected, Tamil historians on the team.
